Alright my bad for not keeping up with the blog, but I have kept up with the soylent, last night I blended a whopping 10 bags, that’s enough to get to day 24! Unfortunately while worrying about why I skipped breakfast and what to eat for lunch or dinner are never a problem anymore, I don’t seem to be losing any weight. I think I know why this is as well. According to what I read, there is a sweet spot for calorie intake depending on you weight and exercise level to lose weight, otherwise your body goes into “conserve” mode and won’t drop it. The calculators I’ve used recommend 2100 calories for weight loss, and i’m consuming about 1650ish… so I think I found the problem. I’ll trust the internet and try upping my calories.

So with all my last batch gone I did not have enough time to make a bunch of bags as that takes like an hour and a half.
instead I measured the ingedients out on the scale and put them straigh into the blender. This was actually a lot quicker then I thought, doing a bunch of bags at once probally doesn’t save as much time as I thought. Although it’s definately still the ideal way to do it.

Damn, I was doing good, but with family over I didn’t really have a chance to bust out the scale and all the powders. Nothing got blended and while I had soy-lent for breakfast and lunch I was empty after that and ended up eating pizza for dinner. You’d think I would have loved eating this pizza. In-fact I thought I would love eating that pizza, I LOVE PIZZA. However after consuming said pizza, I got that I just ate some cancer causing McDonald’s and don’t feel like moving or breathing feeling, and this was real pizza parlor pizza, not pizza hut.

Well, this has become pretty normal for me. I’m on my last package bag of the bulk batch I packaged in last time. I plan to take some pictures during my next bulk bagging session.

Soylent is becoming very normal too me, as long as I blend it the night before, I don’t have to worry about all the time it takes to decide, make, and eat food. It’s just so quick and easy it’s ridiculous. However I have learned some things about this recipe that I think I will adjust.

  1. I find it just too salty, going to cut back on it a bit.
  2. The recipe uses too much cocoa IMO, will cut the back a bit as well.
  3. I am getting too full, actually feeling a bit bloated surprisingly. I’ll reduce the protein and flour by a bit.

Originally I had planned to have one metabolism boost day on the weekend, But I find it so much eaiser to just eat the soylent now. Real food is too much work. I did however have some bourbon chicken from the Chinese place up the block.

Morning: Woke up wanting to go back to sleep, no change there. But I at least had a goal in mind of continuing another day with soylent.

Afternoon: Not Bad, had my soylent In about 7 sips over an 1 hour period. I found it quite satisfying.

Night: I was quite sleepy when I got home. Chugged my soylent, very sleeepy right now. Just want to sleeeeeep.

End Of Day Stats:

Mood: Angry, Work pisses me off sometimes.
Energy: Normal throughout the day, tired when I got home.
Weight: Scale not available right now.

Day-0 night prelude:
Let me start with the night of day-0. I took all of my packages, placed them on the table and begin putting them on the scale trying to get a feel for how much of one thing is so many grams. This is where I found out my scale is shit, so buying a decent one is on my to-do list before next week.

So now I have a blender full of the dry mix, and 5 plastics bags of dry mix that I can blend the night before, giving my self no chance to give excuses like being late for work or anything. However when I go to put the water into the blender, I realize my blender is too small…DAMN! another lesson learned.I will have to pick one of these up tomorrow during lunch break.

Next problem, I press blend, and realize how stupid of me it was to put the dry mix into the blender dish\bowl-thing first, no way is it going to blend through all that powder to small bit of liquid on top. So I had to empty the blender into a big bowl, mix it up and put it all back making a huge mess. Well I know what things I did wrong, and will be ready for tomorrow nights blend.

Day-1

Morning: So I wake up, with the feeling of doing nothing but quitting my job so I can sleep for another hour, as per usual.
I pull my Soylent out of the fridge, take a few sips. I think to myself “this shit is gross ughkk”, I gulp down the rest and gag a bit. At this point I’m just hoping I don’t puke at work.
